is there anything i can do to reverse AAA ins decision to lower my ins score?
AAA lowered my score 1 point and raised my 6 mth rate based on my credit report which shows I paid off my mtg in full and pd in full my 2nd mtg,all accounts are paid on time,I closed some accounts and my credit score went from 738 a few mths ago to 810 now.How can I get AAA to raise my score back to at least 8 where it was? Only thing bad was a divorce,which did not alter my ability to drive well,I feel insulted after all the yrs with AAA,I have no respect for them at all now.
The credit agency Choice point,checked me out and told AAA to use a 7,down from an 8,which raised my premium.CP is going to send me my credit report,then i have to dispute this with AAA,which can raise my ins score,or leave it ,which is seperate from my credit score.If AAA leaves it,they are profiling me into a group of people who are a higher risk of making a claim.Just another way to screw me for more money,period.I am the same person now as months ago.And its legal?????
i run into questions about credit scores in relations to insurance premiums too often. the company will go off of your insurance score at the time of renewal, not what it currently is. if it recently renewed an you want to dispute your insurance score in correlation to your FICA score you can request a copy of it from AAA. keep in mind that even though your credit score may be great there are other factors that can affect your insurance premium. here are some:
change in coverage
company rate changes
insurance payment history
claims
you should be able to call your agent and have him/her request that AAA re-runs your insurance score. that is where i would start.
